TFLP Event: Dr Charlie Appleton

March 2024

An evening with Dr Charlie Appleton from the QML Pathology Laboratories. Dr Appleton joined QML Pathology in 1985 as Chemical Pathologist and was subsequently appointed Partner in Charge of Biochemistry. In 2003 he was appointed as Pathologist in Charge of Biochemistry. His special interests include the use of computers in pathology result interpretation and reporting, legal aspects of drug testing, inborn errors of metabolism, and calcium metabolism.
Dr Appleton will be talking to all members on the use of drug testing in family law, including the reading and interpreting of results. Don’t miss this event!

30 March 2023

The Association of Therapeutic Family Law Professionals officially launched on 30 March 2023. This was an exciting event attending by many enthusiastic family law professionals. The board was introduced to attendees and there were animated discussions regarding upcoming events and the future of this new and exciting association.

TFLP Event: Dr Varghese

August 2023 - Full Member Event

The Association of Therapeutic Family Law Professionals first event for 2023 was an evening with psychiatrist, Dr Daniel Varghese. This event, in August 2023, was highly attended and anticipated by members. Dr Varghese is a highly regarded psychiatrist who regularly provides psychiatric assessment for the Family Court. Dr Varghese engaged in a question and answer discussion lead by Dr Megan Morris, President of TFLP. This was a wonderful evening with thought provoking discussions regarding mental health issues in the family law process.

TFLP Event: An Evening with SJR Best

18 October 2023 - Full Member Event

The Association of Therapeutic Family Law Professionals hosted its second event- An Evening with SJR Best (full member event). We were lucky enough to have two other SJRs attend to add to the discussion. This was an informative evening with lively discussion regarding the role of the Registrars and how family report writers and therapeutic professionals can provide information of value and work together to bridge the gap between family law and working clinicians.
